Testing details –

When testing how the program is going using the live preview server extension would help see all the changes done while also being able to see all the properties on the web page as it loads the document onto Google or any program that you are using locally.

Testing steps –

When I began my program, I finished the main parts and saved them. Then, I right-clicked to load a live server to see how it looked and if everything was working properly. Adding on CSS to decorate the website saving between each change to see how it looks on the web to ensure I wasn’t messing anything up.

Testing results –

Doing this process made it easy to see what things were changing and if I didn’t like something I had added to the web I could easily revert back and remove it from the code.

conclusion –

Using the live preview server was very helpful in creating the website letting me view the aspect of what I’ve created and also allowing me to inspect the website to see what I can change and what code is being applied to that specific element.

Recommendation –

I would highly recommend using the live server preview when creating a website because of the features it allows the user to use after loading it up on the web locally.

Trial details – VSCode is a program that you download onto your computer and can also be used o the web. It lets you create any type of program and lets you view your work depending if you have a preview extension installed. It stores the files locally on the device you’re working on with VSCode.

Trial steps – Loading up VSCode and adding a folder to the workspace to add all the elements for the website I trialled by writing “Hello world” and then loading it up on Google using a live preview extension. and for me to save any of the files to transprot then I will just do it by uploading the files onto google drive for easy access.

Trial results – After trialling the “Hello World” and loading it up on Google proving that everything is functional for me to continue

Conclusion –  Using VSCode would be more efficient and easier. It would need the continuous reuploading of the files on Google Drive but it would be worth the hustle. This program would be much more useable and wouldn’t cost anything but the time it would take to download it.

Recommendation – I would highly recommend using VSCode when creating anything, it does give some hints to what you might be looking for. It is also a free program that can be downloaded on any device apart from chrome book but can also be accessed through the web.

trial details –

Replit is a web-designed program that allows the user to code anything they want, this program also includes a AI helper to help you out when you get stuck and need some help.

trial steps –

In your web browser, you search for replit.com. log into my replit account to create a new workspace. when pressing the button to create a new workspace it lets you choose which program you want to use

trial results –

After logging into my account I went to add a new workspace but instead of it asking what program I wanted to use it asked me to upgrade my membership to have unlimited workspaces as the starter only allows for 2 workspaces.

conclusion –

Replit would be a good website to use to have access to everything without having to transfer files from computer to computer. Also allowing some help for AI, although having to pay for a membership to create a new workspace wouldn’t be so helpful.

recommendation –

If they hadn’t made it where you had to have a membership like it was previously then I would recommend this website as a good place to go for starting you’re program as a new user to coding. But if you were to do it without having money and wanting to make multiple different programs I would not recommend this website.

Trial details: The use of exam.net locks the student’s screen so that they cannot change pages and cheat using their Chromebooks it ensures that there is no other way for them to use the web while doing their exam making it quite useful. They provide auto-marked exams and make it easier for teachers to understand what the students wrote as they are typing instead of using their handwriting. Teachers are also able to monitor their students as they do the exam letting them track their progress

Trial steps: Using a Chromebook, the student must sign out of their account sending them to the login screen. They would then need to navigate to the app’s icon at the bottom left of their screen pressing the button would make exam.net pop up. The student should then press the exam.net button which then takes them to the login for their exam.

Trial results: While using exam.net during my exams. It was a bit confusing of how you were meant to log in using the chrome books although when I asked for help of how to log in it was pretty easy to do it again the other times I had to login during my English exam.

conclusion: There should definitely be an example of how to get onto exam.net if they don’t use the website for those coming into their exams and don’t know how to use it. This is a highly good program to use for students during their test as it ensures of no cheating or messing around on other websites.

recommendation: I recommend using exam.net more for exams this is because it ensures the students have no way of cheating via computer since it locks their device completely on that screen no matter what type of device it is. It’s also a good way for teachers to keep an eye on the students work.
